SmartPanel® is a compact display (as shown on the left) for displaying advertising or other content transmitted via a wireless network. In terms of technology, it resembles a cell phone with a large screen that can be controlled from a central location.
Content in standard JPG or MP3 format can be conveniently uploaded from a web browser and then distributed to all devices or just to specific devices. Even video.
SmartPanel® is available in two versions:
1) As the SmartPanel® compact, a compact device with a 17" or 19" screen, or larger.
2) As a simple receiving unit (same as 1 but without the integrated screen). The SmartAdapter version is supplied with an external VGA port. You can use any screen, even your existing screens. There is no need to buy from us.
Both devices are also available with a LAN port. Content can also be updated using USB MemorySticks. All transmission methods, including updates by USB MemoryStick, are encrypted.
SmartPanel is extremely easy to put into operation. Just take it out of the box, mount it on a horizontal or vertical surface and plug it in. Your advertising content appears after only 15 seconds.
Unlike the LAN versions, all you need at the installation site is GPRS coverage and a power outlet.
Because SmartPanel® is so easy to install, you won't need on-site technicians to install phone lines, lay cables, drill holes or create dust. And because it operates self-sufficiently, you won’t have to hook it up to existing local networks, thus avoiding the security issues this involves.
Like your GSM cell phone, SmartPanel® comes with a SIM card preconfigured for wireless communication. All you need to do is plug it into a power outlet.
You can change prices or content from a central location. Within minutes, they are updated on all your devices.
There's no complicated software to learn. You don’t even need the assistance of your advertising department or agency to make simple text changes (such as prices or dates of events). Instead, you can enter the text directly into your web browser and display it instantly on all devices.
Your dedicated server is located in a secure area. Whether you use a wireless network or LAN, all data is encrypted and transferred by SSH tunneling.

You can use Flash design templates to determine the layout and placement of your logo, text and images. Flash is the web standard. Any advertising agency, advertising department or graphic designer can use it to create content.
One high-quality image requires about 60-100 KB.
One 20-second sound file in very good headset audio quality requires approx. 200 KB.
The bandwidth needed for text changes is negligible.
Once you purchase the devices, you are responsible for monthly operating costs, including the cost of providing the IT infrastructure and guaranteeing continuous operation. Depending on the transmission type, there will also be transmission costs, such as wireless charges.
Consequently, there are three cost categories:
1) Fixed costs: Device purchase
2) Fixed costs: Monthly operating costs
3) Variable costs: Wireless charges (depending on your activity)
Because you can create your own content, there are no production costs at our end, no update fees, etc. Most importantly, there are no hidden costs.
